CPE Technology Berhad achieved a key sustainability milestone with the activation of its first Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system, marking a tangible step forward in the Group’s energy management and low-carbon transition efforts. Installed on the rooftop of Plant 3 (Champion Component Sdn Bhd), the system comprises 332 solar panels, delivering a direct current capacity of 229.08 kWp.
In its first year of operation, the solar PV system is projected to generate approximately 292,650 kWh of clean energy and contribute to an estimated 4,060 tonnes of CO2 emission avoidance over 25 years. This initiative directly supports CPE Technology Berhad’s efforts to decarbonise operations, reduce reliance on non-renewable sources and align with global sustainability standards.
This installation represents the Group’s first solar system deployment and forms part of a long-term roadmap to expand renewable energy utilisation across all self-owned facilities, subject to regulatory approvals. The system activation complements other energy-saving initiatives, including LED lighting rollouts and continued contributions to the national Renewable Energy Fund (KWTBB), reinforcing the Group’s broader commitment to sustainable growth.
